    School isn’t self-esteem therapy. Minimal intellectual standards should apply. Good for him.

    I hope that by “stupid” he meant, “intellectually lazy and aggressively ignorant.” The only “stupid” students are the smart ones who should know better than to try to slide through college life. Professors never refer to the stupid ones as “stupid.”

    I had this professor and he was a brilliant teacher, if not a bit eccentric. He’s right, why would graduating seniors expect someone to go soft on them when they make a mistake- do you expect your boss to sugar coat his comments when you do something stupid at work? Great professor, everyone should have to take a class like his. (And he called me out on stupid comments on several occasions, so I feel I give an unbiased analysis :) )
